How to Measure your Flagpole

  To help you get the right hardware the first time, we recommend taking a quick measurement of your flagpole’s Outside Diameter (OD) before finalizing your order. Because many poles are tapered or use unique sizing, "eyeballing" the width often leads to an incorrect fit.

How to get an exact measurement: The most accurate way to measure an installed pole is the Cardboard Notch Method:

1. Create a Guide: Take a scrap piece of cardboard and cut a small notch into it.

2. Test the Fit: Slide the notch onto your pole at the exact height where you plan to mount the swivel.

3. Adjust: Keep enlarging the notch until it fits snugly against the pole.

4. Measure: Use a ruler or tape measure to find the exact width of that notch.
